Resolution #17-27: Resolution Authorizing the Vernon Township Municipal Utilities Authority to Accept a Proposal to Perform Generator Maintenance Services

WHEREAS, the Vernon Township Municipal Utilities Authority (“VTMUA”) is a public body politic and corporate constituting a political subdivision of the State established as an instrumentality exercising public and essential governmental functions to provide for the public health and welfare, established pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:14B-1, et seq.; and
WHEREAS, VTMUA maintains generators located at Black Creek Pump Station 1, Sand Hill Pump Station 2, Route 94 Pump Station 3, and Black Creek Lift Station; and
WHEREAS, there is need for preventative maintenance services for said generators to ensure optimum performance; and
WHEREAS, Power Generator Services, LLC has submitted a proposal offering one major service per year and three minor services per year for each generator. The services are priced individually as follows: $795 for services to the Black Creek Pump Station 1 generator; $895 for services to the Sand Hill Pump Station 2 generator; $795 for services to the Route 94 Pump Station 3 generator; and $695 for services to the Black Creek Lift Station generator. Power Generator Services LLC’s proposal is a total cost of $3,180.00; and
WHEREAS, the VTMUA believes to be in the best interest of the VTMUA and the users of the system to authorize said work, which work is not subject to public bidding.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the commissioners of the Vernon Township Municipal Utilities Authority that authorization to accept the generator services proposal submitted by Power Generator Services, LLC of 186 South Robinson Avenue, Newburg, New York 12550 is hereby approved.
